Less than 3 months, the tastes became bad

Having been using it in my house for more than 4 years, recently find out it lasts shorter than 5 months as directed. I change it based on the taste, now the most recent filter only last for less than 3 months (I changed in the late Feb 2021). The taste became bad. Also it doesn't alarm after 5 month using ( I mark the date when I change the filters).
Pros: No odor, Good Water Flow
Cons: Filters need replacing too often, Difficult to install
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
