The installation of this 3-stage water filtering system was easy enough and as explained in the documents. The house has a new Aquasana whole house water and softener system as well and I am happy with it, thus far. But at this time don't see the benefits of this 3-stage. I don't like the taste, there is a taste to this water, and the water taste better coming from the bathroom tap which is tied to the Aquasana whole house water and conditioner system than from the kitchen under the sink 3-stage. I've tested the the water quality with a TDS tester with the following results: the water coming into the house tested at 547ppm, the filtered whole house water is 213ppm at the tap, but the under the sink 3-stage tested at 381ppm. I admit that previous to the Aquasana installations, we had been drinking bottle water for the last two years which is that is truly tasteless water for sure and we are use to that but this 3-stage has not met my expectation as far has the taste goes.
Pros: No odor, Good Water Flow, Nice faucet, Easy to install
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Claryum® 3-Stage - Canister defect

Purchased Claryum® 3-Stage five years ago and it worked great, changing the cartridges on a regular basis. Changed cartridges about 3 months ago and no disruptions around the filter.
Then one of the canisters bulged on the bottom and started leaking. Luckily we were close when it started to leak. Concern is long term reliability.

Literally every single time we replace the water filters, this doesn't work properly afterwards. The flow rate drops way down to the point it's dysfunctional or starts sputtering and spraying water irregularly until it finds a steady flow rate of like one cup per minute.
Had this same Aquasana filtration system previous 6 years. Always wondered why, although I only used the filtered water from my Aquasana system, the mineral deposit build up in my tea kettle (clear glass) was still quite heavy. The old system failed, linked under my kitchen cabinet overnight, and warped the cabinet door beyond repair. During the 2 weeks while waiting for my new system to arrive, I purchased bottled water. NO mineral buildup in the kettle at all. I guess this system doesn't do as good a job as I thought all those years, and it was a huge huge hassle when it failed. New system is in, and immediately the mineral buildup in kettle has returned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Aquasana 3-stage under sink filter was easy to install with no leaks. The water tastes great and the new dedicated faucet looks good. The faucet might be a little bit lightweight. We'll see how it survives the bumps common in the kitchen. So far, so good!

The fittings are not at all what I'd hoped for in a system That keeps the same pressure as the rest of the house at all times. I sure as heck don't want to try but pretty sure I can pull half of the tubing out of the sockets with less pressure that a newborn could apply.
Pros: I got what I paid for
Cons: Not happy with business practice, Not happy with fittings, Uses Lots of Replacement Filters
