I liked the price point on this item. Also liked the fact that it says it retains minerals. However I am not sure how I can test that. I had difficulty with locating parts since my faucet is 1/2" not the 1/4" fittings that come with it. I have never seen a kitchen faucet with 1/4". So I had to spend an addition 15$ on adaption parts. Its been two weeks plus since I have installed this. I use this for my cooking and coffee, tea water. I tried it for just drinking after one week. Not sold on taste. Couldn't even drink a glass. Will try again this week, hoping it will taste good since I really want to stop hauling my water jugs back and forth to the water machine.....
Service was good. Not happy with barrage of email, and I have opted out several times. I see I need to contact directly and insist a little more firmly. Installation is very easy, and I would say requires minimal skill. Not sure I taste much difference between the filtered and tap water. Either it's not really doing anything, or my tap water isn't that bad to begin with and did not really need it.
Only reason I bought an under counter is we upgraded counters and faucet, and could not use the Brita faucet mount anymore.
I bought the more expensive high flow, and without a comparison to regular I can't really tell if worth it, but I anticipated higher rate of flow.
Pros: Nice faucet

Pink slime in faucet outlet

Purchased the 3 stage high volume drinking water system. After the initial installation I used it for about 4 months. One morning I was getting some water in a to go container and I noticed a pink slime hanging out of the end of the faucet. This was real concerning considering this filter states it removes chemicals and bacteria. Needless to say I have not used it from that point. I’m not sure what causes the pink slime, but after reading some about it I’m not comfortable continuing to use it for drinking water.
Pros: Good Water Flow, Nice faucet, Easy to install

My husband installed this easily. There is a big difference in the water taste. We bought this to filter PFAS which is a very dangerous contaminant.
Pros: Easy to clean, No odor, Clean taste, Long lasting filter, Good Water Flow, Durable, Nice faucet, Easy to install

Measuring total dissolved solids (TDS): Aquasana 3-stage: 149 TDS, Unfiltered Water: 118 TDS, PUR water filter: 57 TDS. This new filter is ADDING, not removing contaminants!
Pros: Good Water Flow, Easy to install

Hello Dave, TDS, or Total Dissolved Solids, is the amount of dissolved minerals and metals present in water. TDS meters tell you the concentration of dissolved minerals and metals, but are not an accurate measurement for contamination. Aquasana products reduce and remove harmful TDS like lead, but selectively retain or replace healthy dissolved solids like calcium, magnesium, and potassium. If you are interested in seeing the change in contaminants only, we recommend using a water test kit that is not testing for TDS. -Aquasana Customer Support
I have purchased the 3-stage max filter for myself, mom, & sister. All 3 installs were relatively easy, though each requied removing the faucet & faucet plate (covering 3 holes) and replacing with the faucet (minus plate), a hole cover, and the filter faucet. One faucet would not work in a single hole setup and I had to purchase a new faucet - I expected that might happen and am not upset but merely want to alert others to the potential.
All in all the installation is not difficult and I am very happy with the taste of the filtered water.
Pros: Clean taste, Good Water Flow, Easy to install
I would recommend this to a friend!

Happy With the System

I don’t get why there’s so many negative reviews regarding the leaks that the reviewers complain about. One should have some degree of mechanical inclination to install this system correctly. Having a good mechanical aptitude is essential. That’s the bottom line. If you question your ability to install this system, don’t do it. It’s that simple. HOWEVER…the filter cartridges are very pricey!!! The prices should be reasonable.
I had some concerns about the installation. The video guidance on the Aquasana website was a big help. My under-sink space is a bit cramped; I am 81 and not as flexible as I was. I expected a full-day job. I was done with total success in 4 hours -- not rushing. Needed to drill a hole for the new faucet in the existing faucet plate. No problem. A bit awkward to push in the plastic tubing at the end of the install. A bit more video guidance there would have helped. Just used a few days so far. All good, though.
