I didn't even think of installing the filter myself. Even with the added cost of a professional installation (what a pleasure BTW), the monthly cost savings over delivered service is substantial. The taste is every bit as good as bottled water, if not better. And one other advantage I hadn't considered when I made the purchase is that now the ice cubes & hot water for our tea & coffee makers are so much better. I had a 6 stage reverse osmosis system that I replaced with the Aquasana unit and couldn't be happier. The installation went very smooth with no glitches. The quality of the this unit is evident in it's design and construction and the water quality, in my opinion, is superior to the RO system that was here. The six month automatic filter replacement is most convenient with no more labeling filters. I can see many years of good service from this unit and this company.
