If you are looking for basic water filtration that is easy to install and not permanent, then this is for you. However, if you want any significant reduction in fluoride, Aquasana does not offer any filtration systems that will live up to your needs. I was told by one of their reps that one of their brand new filters can "only potentially remove up to 60% of fluoride, but that this capability quickly diminishes." This is unacceptable if you care about fluoride removal. Also, the filters need to be changed quite frequently if you drink a lot of water (I had to increase the frequency of my Water-for-Life shipments by several months), and one filter is very difficult to remove each time. Otherwise, if you live in an apartment and just want the filters for taste and the removal of other particulates, this system will work just fine for your needs.

I researched this product online way back in 2005 when I lived in Bangkok, Thailand, and Aquasana very kindly sent me two products--the water filter and the shower filter. Both worked very well there, since there was so much chlorine in the water. I have been using them ever since, and continued to use them after I moved back to California in 2009. The "water for life" program is a great way to save money on the filters.
