I bought an Aquasana counter-top water filter after reading many great reviews online about the company, and I must say that I am not disappointed. The unit is compact and hardly takes up any space ion my counter-top, which I am thrilled about. This unit serves our needs well because there are only two of us in the family. I've owned several under-the-sink and tanked water filter systems that required professional installation, lots of space, and costly filter replacements... and not to mention the fact that there was quite a bit of wastage of water with them as well. In contrast, Aquasana was amazingly quick and simple to install; within 10 minutes, we had clean, filtered water to enjoy. No mess, no need to purchase additional parts, no drilling required, no wastage of water or cabinet space required. I am pleased that the product serves my everyday clean drinking water needs.

I bought this on recommendation from a local brewpub owner to treat city water for brewing use, specifically to remove chlorine and chloramines. It does a stellar job at both of these, is a fraction of the cost and water usage of a reverse osmosis system. I use a couple of fittings from a hardware store to inline it in drinking water rated garden hoses and I can fill my hot liquor tank with reasonable speed
