We have been using this type of system for years and could not be happier. For less than a dollar a day you can have great pure tasting water. Our city water is not overly bad but there is a taste to it that is totally gone with this filter.

I keep this over the counter in,the kitchen. The filters are obviously the best you could find since the water is clear and fresh tasting. It is also convenient coming through the sink faucet.

We are long-term subscribers and at one point needed to replace our pre-filter system. The new system requires a filter that is not a simple cylinder, but has an end that is narrower -- to fit into the new filter holder. We have asked for the new filter, but keep receiving the old ones. The funny thing is, this time when we got replacement filters, the illustrated instructions showed the new filter, inside the same plastic bag containing the old-style filters. We manage to wedge them in and use them, but it takes a lot of tries and hard work to get the holder to stop leaking.

Cons: Difficult to install

I bought this filter for myself & my mom...we were tired of paying for bottled water & needed a solution! This filter is perfect for providing our homes with great, crisp, fresh tasting water and the auto shipment means I don't have to stress over remembering "did I order that?" For 2 homes! I would recommend this great counter top filter for anyone who doesn't have the room for the under the counter filtration option, but can spare about 5" of space on the counter near the sink! I had significant difficulty removing the hoses from the filter unit in order to replace the filters. Pushing in and holding down the grey plastic ring while pulling out the hose elbow is difficult because the grey plastic ring is so small; it took me a half hour and a couple of skinned knuckles to get the 2 hoses off, then replacement of the filters was easy. I could see material on the outside of the used filters, so I am confident that the filters do a good job of filtering my water. The grey plastic rings need to be redesigned to make it easier to hold them down.
Cons: Difficult to install
