I am on water for life and really like the taste of the water filtered with Aquasana. I have several issues with the product. They are too expensive. They are hard to install into the case, but I understand if I pay more money, I can get an easier to open case and different filters. I'm not interested in paying more money. They leave water deposits over time on my fittings, so I guess it doesn't filter as good as they claim. I understand some of these deposits are good for me and actually help the taste of the water, but again, it's not being filtered as promised.
Pros: Clean taste
Cons: Slow pour, Filters need replacing too often, Difficult to install

The under-sink unit in the kitchen, suddenly began to leak over- night after we had owned it for about 1 1/2 years. We ended up replacing the bathroom ceiling below the leak as well as part of the drywall. We replaced the filters with new ones, cleaned it out thoroughly and it worked fine again for about 3 months. While doing dishes one evening, we heard water dripping into the container we had placed below the unit as a precautionary measure after the previous leak incident. We removed and reseated the filters and it still leaked so we disconnected the unit, cleaned it out well and put new filters in. No matter what we tried, it would not stop leaking so we disconnected it until we can find a suitable replacement. We can't trust this unit not to leak and fear if we're away for a weekend, we could return to a flooded basement. This system is not trustworthy and because of this, we will not longer use it or recommend it to others.

Cons: Not durable

If you don't filter water before you drink it - your body will have to filter the water after you drink it. In addition to being a precautionary measure - the water just tastes better. As does the coffee you make with filtered water.

I have been using these filters for several years now. I live near a 10,000 acres lake from which I get my water. It's a busy recreational usage. Also, it is surrounded by many farms and light industry. So, concerned with all of the potential chemicals that could be found in the water, I chose Aquasana to filter out all of the harmful elements.
I drink and cook using the filtered water. And, the filtered water makes great tasting coffee.

My family has been using these filters for several years in North Borneo. The tap water here is undrinkable without boiling or filtering. And most filter units here are much more expensive than those offered by Aquasana. We like the Aquasana filter units so much that my wife is offering them for sale in here pharmacy.
