I stopped trying to replace the filters and I buy a new system every six months. It's actually cheaper right now by 2 bucks for the filter system. After the first filter change if you can get the covers off, they will leak or the tabs will break off or the socket stud will strip and be unusable or you can't get the hose disconnected to use the socket stud, been through it all. I have never had success changing filters so for me this is the best option. Aquisana told me if I joined water for life then I would get replacement parts for free. So if something breaks on a filter change I have to call them and then weight a week for the part. No thanks, I did that one time and my wife was not happy we had no filtered water to drink. As for filtration, it's great. I love this filter for that. Makes the water taste great removes a lot of contaminants as advertised and removes odor. That's why I stayed with the Aquasana countertop filter.
Pros: No odor, Clean taste, Long lasting filter
Cons: Difficult to install, Not durable

First I will say the connecting the filter was a snap and didn't require any tool. After letting it run, as directed in the instructions, the very first glass of water was what I expected, clear clean taste. I was pleasantly surprised, that due to its size, it fit even better in the space I have and that the tubes are long enough to give me options as to location.
Pros: No odor, Clean taste, Long lasting filter, Good Water Flow, Nice faucet, Easy to install

The filter seems irrelavant . I have had the unit for less than 2 months and it is the noisiest thing I have ever had in my kitchen and should not need another filter.
