I broke a joint in an older version removing a filter. We decided to just get a new one because it worked so well. I expected the new one to install as easily as the older one which installed quickly and easily. But the new install had problems. Water literally sprayed it the connection to the faucet no matter how tightly I fastened it. It got worse when I pulled the diverted valve open. After removing and reinstalling a few times, I wondered if there was a blockage in the connector that stopped the water from flowing. So I tried just blowing through the faucet connector and found I couldn’t do it. No air would come thru. I was going to send it back but decided to try shaking and hitting the connector against my hand. That seemed to work and got rid of most of the problem. It still leaked some at the fastening to the faucet. I tightened it using pliers and the leak stopped. The original one I has installed several several years ago worked with just hand tightening. I remember being impressed with that. So somethings must have changed but it’s workin fine now. Some debris must have been left in the connector causing the flow problem and maybe a harder washer in the connector required the use of pliers to get a leak free joint.
Every time I replace the filters, I can see work the filters did cleaning all of the contaminants and dirt captured in the Aquasana filters. The water is crystal clear and wonderful to drink. Accolades to Aquasana. E. Rivera. NY.
Pros: No odor, Clean taste, Good Water Flow, Durable
Different city, different water. I remember the first time I turned on the tap in my first apartment here, I was floored by the smell of chlorine I had a pitcher filter and found that I first had to leave water overnight in a jug to try to allow some of the chlorine to evaporate/dissipate, and then fill the pitcher. It still had a horrible taste. Even my plants suffered if I didn't let water stand for a number of days before watering. . I bought the Aquasana countertop filter system at the recommendation of a friend and will admit that I was skeptical. Everything I needed arrived nicely packaged and pretty much ready to go. Installation was easy, all attachments one might need came with it. I love that taste of the water now. While I have no idea chemically of what is in the water chemically (other than chlorine) and no idea what is definitively being filtered out, I am extremely satisfied. Buying plastic bottles of water always seemed ridiculous to me. We pay our municipalities to provide clean, fresh and SAFE water, why should we have to buy drinking water in plastic jugs? I signed up to have filters sent automatically so that I don't even have to think about it, frankly I'm lazy about things like that.
Pros: Easy to clean, No odor, Clean taste, Long lasting filter, Durable, Easy to install
I love my new filter! It was very easy to install, and compact enough for my small counter. I love the clean taste and being able to wash veggies And get clean, clear water from my kitchen sink.

I had wanted an jndersink system but do to a large shelf window sill over my sink that wouldn't fit the faucet and my lack of installation expertise I chose the countertop system. It was easy to install and actually is able to sit on the shelf out of the way! The hose attachment is also long enough that there is no problem reaching either side of my double sink yet it's out of the way. I love the way it worked out and I also love not having to constantly refill the cumbersome brita pitcher that was always in the way and a pain to clean all the little groves and crevasses.
