Another pro is that the bulky part of the unit does not have to be affixed to the faucet itself. When I moved in to my apt., the maintenance guy told me purifiers that do can damage the faucet and tenants are charged for it out of their deposit... The slow pour of the unit is pain. When the weather gets hot, my "cold" water gets warm/hot and it makes it hard for me to use the filter because hot water is not good for the unit. I wind up filling water bottles in the morning and water to cook with but it takes a while with slow pour.
