This is a fairly simple filter I've had mine for two years with little issue. I don't find a large taste improvement I do however notice the filters make the water clean enough that it does not bother my stomach.

I love these filters! It makes my public water taste just like my original well water, not a trace of chlorine remains. My only complaint is that replacement is difficult. The hardware is very difficult to unscrew.
