I use this to filter my drinking and cooking water. The diverter on the faucet is getting so it does not shut off. I do not know if I will have to but a whole new filter or not. The filter drains down when I shut the faucet off.

Not so much to do with the filter cartridges itself, but the actual desktop water filter canister only lasted 3 years for us before it sprung leaks both at the bottom and on the sides.
