I found Aquasana at least 5-6 years ago from online reviews and gave it a try. The counter top unit was easy to set up and use. I'm on the periodic shipping plan and have only had to replace the unit itself once, which Aquasana replaced for free since I'm under the program. I really can't tell any difference in the taste of water. I feel better that it is running through the filter and that Aquasana purports to remove toxins and chemicals. I haven't independently verified the claims but I believe that the company is trustworthy. I used to get regular water delivery and that is very expensive. I believe the drinking water in my area is safe and tastes fine, so the filter just adds an extra level of security for me and my family

Can the above sink water chamber design be improved so replacing filters can be done easily. Trying to unscrew the bottom is extreamly difficult. I can't even pull the hose out so I can use a socket wrench. Other than this, I'm very pleased with the system.

We have used this filter and set up in the last two rentals we've lived in for the last 5 or 6 years. It's easy to install, it's sleek design doesn't clutter up the kitchen, no drilling needed, and the water is pure and wonderful. Nothing to complain about. With Water For Life after about 5 years my casing sprung a leak and they replaced everything. When we buy a house we'll be getting the whole house system.

Whoever said New York City has the cleanest drinking water failed to notice that those tests are done before it goes through the old gross pipes in my prewar rent stabilized hovel. I'm on the water-for-life program because without this filter the water in my apartment tastes almost non potable. The amount of dirt in the filter I replace every 6 months is jarring and buying bottled water isn't an option for myriad reasons. After a good deal of research a very long time ago Aquasana is the best bang for your filtering buck and I sing their praises to everyone I know.
