Love this product for ease of use, and great tasting water

I had another really great water filter by another company that i loved, BUT replacing the filter was really hard, and stressful, and required a special tool. So i switched to aquasana, besides the great tasting water, changing the filters are a breeze. I no longer dread the filter change, as it never takes more than 4 minuets.

We live in an agricultural area, and the use of so many chemicals by farmers means that a lot of horrible things end up in our water supply. Aquasana filters remove many of the most dangerous compounds. This makes a real difference when you are drinking the water everyday. The Individual filter cartridges can be a little difficult to install or remove, but it is not overwhelming. Opening the screw-top holes for inserting the cartridges is the hardest part. I recommend using a socket wrench, but be sure you use the right size, as the plastic head can be damaged easily.

Cons: Difficult to install

I've used this product for 5+ years. It's cost effective, produces less waste, and seems to improve the taste of our tap water. There are some drawbacks: funny taste after changing the filters, difficulty removing the cover when changing filters, and the location of the tubing. I've lived in several places and have never been able to find a good place for this filter to sit near the sink. They should add longer tubing, or add an option to route the tubing in another direction. The customer service has always been excellent and I've never had any components of this filter break on me.

I installed the Aquasana filter to assure that my drinking and cooking water is filtered and free from pollutants. The supply is drawn from a deep, underground aquifer that is generally pure and free from groundwater runoff. From there it is pumped to the house and does go through copper pipes that have been soldered. With the addition of a duel organic/inorganic Aquasana filter at the delivery point I feel confident that the purity of the water is assured . The filter was easy enough to install, with all parts necessary for installation provided by Aquasana.
