We use this to filter our well water which smells like sulphur. It gets the smell out but it takes a long time to fill up a pot for cooking and you can't use it for hot water.

Living in an apartment having a counter top filtration system makes it much easier to have filtered water without having to install big systems. The only concern or difficulty is the ease of being able to open the filter housing without problems. Yes using a socket wrench would make it easy, however, opeing the housing should be easy. Hit my knuckle on the beveled edge when I changed out the filters.
