So I use the product everyday, it's supposed to be good for about the amount of gallons I would use in a 6 month period which is how long they say the filters are good for as well. I will say the filter always makes the water taste better, I have not tested the water for anything due only to laziness. The first set of filters we got were good and poured well for nearly the entire time. The quality of the filters seems to have gone down though and the pour slows drastically by the second month or so for our last two refills. We have not changed our use if anything it's less due to travel, and I have looked at the filters and run the water to check for particles that would clog them and found nothing. Not sure if we've just had a bit of bad luck but this seems to be the average for many lately. Like I said though the water is still good it just take a very long time to get a lot.

I love my Aquasana! I use it to treat my tap water and then also store it in another pitcher with an additional carbon filter for convenient use (it's a 1 gallon pitcher with a spigot for dispensing.) The taste is excellent and it makes excellent coffee. In our area, our water comes from a reservoir so it would be nice to change the filters every 4 months instead of every 6 months. The only challenge I have had is deciding where to place the counter top unit so the delivery hose to the faucet does not get in the way. If the hose was a little longer, I would have more options. Overall, I love this unit. I am thinking about an under-sink model, but don't really want to give up my soap dispenser to accommodate the filtered water faucet. The other option I'm considering is a whole house unit, but that's a little pricey for me. For now, I'll continue using my little countertop unit.
