I keep a filled glass container by the sink so I can just pour off the water as I need it as I drink frequently through the day. That way I feel I save the little pull out from being overused. Water tastes great and I assume it's doing a good job I love how long the filters last. And instead of buying new filters I just buy a whole new unit at the end of the year. Not much difference in price and everything is shiny and new. Thank you for a lovely product

A Great Product Discontinued: Loyal Customer Sad

I recently learned that Aquasana has decided to discontinue the AQ-4000 countertop water filter, and I am deeply disappointed by this decision. I have been a loyal user of this product since 2016, owning four units over the years, and the AQ-4000 has consistently provided my family with clean, safe water.
This filter is incredibly easy to install and use, making it perfect for anyone looking to improve the quality of their drinking water without the hassle of complicated setups. The AQ-4000 is certified to meet NSF standards 42, 53, 401, and P473, effectively removing up to 77 contaminants, including chlorine, heavy metals, pesticides, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The four-stage filtration system ensures that our water is clean and safe.
One of the standout features of this filter is its strong flow rate, which can fill a glass of water in just 7 seconds. The filter replacement cost is reasonable, and the filters have a long lifespan, making this a cost-effective solution in the long run.
I am in complete disagreement with the decision to discontinue this product, especially when the supposed replacement doesn't come close to matching its performance. Aquasana lost a customer because of this decision (I'm sure that I'm not the only one here). The AQ-4000 was simply a marvelous product, and its discontinuation is a significant loss for those of us who relied on its quality and efficiency.

I've purchased this system repeatedly because Aquasana makes the system cost only a few dollars lmore than just replacing the fi lters. The system does a great job of filtering tap water for a very long time. When the filter becomes saturated the taste of the water signals the ex haustion of the filter very strongly. It does not seem to be a tapering off of efficiency, but a sudden total loss of function. There is no question about whether it is time to replace the filters. I'm a very happy customer and will keep returning for this pro duct.
