You need a lot of time for installation

It's not easy for installation I have spent 3 hours for insulation and things have not solved

AO-36 Auquasana unit with tank removed and new tankless unit installed by handyman in 2 hours. Water as good as with the older more complex filter. Flow better than the old filter and a lot of under sink room gained. We are happy with our Aquasana filter system.
Pros: No odor, Clean taste, Good Water Flow, Easy to install

POOR DESIGN OR MANUFACTURING OR BOTH

We have had this filter for several years. It gives us great-tasting water. And we trust that its claims for taking out a lot of different toxins are true. BUT, it is a nightmare to install the three replacement filters they send automatically every 6 months! After replacement, the water doesn't come out at all or at a dribble. I have been on the phone with Service so many times in the last few years and have kept track of all the careful tips they have provided and follow them carefully each time, but those tips only worked while I was on the phone with them for some unknown reason. They have sent various new parts over the years that didn't even work and the old ones worked better. Both my husband and I spend several hours on this week-long project whenever the replacement filters arrive.
Pros: Clean taste
Cons: Slow pour, Filters need replacing too often, Difficult to install, Not durable

Living in an old house with bad city water, this system has changed the game for me. Finally able to go to a faucet and know I am getting healthy drinking water. Done with bottles.

Canisters cannot support water pressure

I've had leakage problems with this unit,
Two of the water casters deformed, broke and caused flooded my kitchen. Wood floors warped and needed replacement. I've also has leaks at the top of the manifold. It's an expensive product for the rather cheap plastic construction of the unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this system 2 years back. I noticed cracks on the inside walls during first time replacement. Those cracks slowly started appearing outside and the bottom portion of canister on black and red colored ones bulged from flat surface to round and started leaking. These canisters cannot hold water pressure for more than 12 months of continuous usage. I admit that water tasted great.
Pros: Clean taste, Easy to install
Cons: Slow pour, Not durable

Great when it does not leak!

Our filter was recommended by our contractor and professionally installed by a plumber. I researched the product and read the reviews before purchasing the filter. I noted that the most common complaint related to the unit leaking after replacing the filters. For the first six months (prior to filter replacement), it was great. Water tasted great and we were very happy. Then came the replacement filters. They were easy to replace, but immediately began to leak as soon as the water came back on. I tried removing them, cleaning the o-rings (not by removing them, but by wiping them), tweaking them a bit, etc. All top no avail. I called customer service and they gave me advise about switching the heads (so the colors would not match the filters), which I refused to do since the whole system is color coded and that could lead to confusion. Besides - that is a bogus way to fix a problem where the clear issue are the o-rings. I pointed out that the design was defective and that logic would dictate that with each filter replacement, the company should supply o-rings. I'd pay for the o-rings, as it makes sense those would have to be replaced. The representative actually agreed with me, but said that was not how they were designed. The only way to fix it was to get new heads, but that I would be charged for shipping. Apparently that is part of the contract for getting filters automatically. It is all clear now - the company makes a defective product and then makes it part of the contract that you have to pay shipping for the new heads with each filter replacement if they old ones leak. In my worldview, you stand behind your product and you support the customer when the product fails, especially when it is a design defect! It is truly unfortunate because, when the system was first installed and was not leaking, it was truly great.

Poor quality. Flooded kitchen and basement

The mechanism used to attach the filter to the water pipe is very poor quality and not suitable for this type of water pressure. We had our filter installed with the help of a plumber friend and 3 days later the hose came off and completely flooded our kitchen and basement. I lost count after removing 50 gallons of water in the basement.
Cons: Not durable
