I just recently had a chance to try and install the filter but the fittings are not very good and constant water leak. The compression fittings are not adequate for the filters and need to use some other for. Or use the fitting already on and just screw together. As of now I still don’t know how the actual filter works and will now need to pay someone to fix the issue.
Cons: Difficult to install
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased one for my large 1895 farmhouse. immediately the water tasted better. It was easy to install and it is easy to change filters. I just put the second one in another house. If you don't have a water filter, this one is it. Excellent customer service too.
Pros: Easy to clean, No odor, Clean taste, Long lasting filter, Good Water Flow, Nice faucet, Easy to install

Overall installation wasn't super difficult, but as others have mentioned, the compression connection to the filter unit can be tricky. I tried to push the connection in as far as I could, but the first time I turned the water on, it started spraying everywhere. After working at it a little more, I was able to push the connection further in and have had no problems since.
The filter unit, itself, is great. Very clean taste, and the max flow version dispenses at a good rate.

So far we are happy with the product. The 3 stage max flow provides a decent flow rate. I’m happy I chose this model as anything slower would be a bit frustrating. Installation was reasonable for basic skill level. However, the installation video online should show an installation on a real sink with real dimensions and not never ending space to the sides or below it. Just make it realistic for folks (getting the nut under the faucet between the cabinet and sink basin was a disaster. Maybe use a wing nut or something easily tightened down with a hand?

The only down side is the customs duties I had to pay to receive it(I am ordering from Canada).

Only one small installation glitch….otherwise fine

Overall, happy with the performance of the unit. One glitch during installation; one of the filter caps with the o-rings had a small, constant drip leak. After talking to a tech on the phone, a new cap and o-ring were sent out. The new one worked fine. Shipping took about 6 days, so I had to monitor the leak for almost a week by emptying the catch pan daily. It would have been nice if Aquasana provided expedited shipping of the replacement part.
