Great until pressure blows through the top

Water tasted amazing
It was fast although noisy two filters in the top blew out a few seconds after docking a refilled pitcher to filter. Plastic is too thin where the filter lid engages the the machine.
I've seen many used units online all with same defect. Thank God I only played a fraction for a refurbished unit. You'd think they would fix this issue but no. Keeps you spending beyond the cost of a replacement cartridge.

On behalf of Aquasana, thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee our system if you purchased a refurbished unit from an outside party. If your top dislodged, it is likely a pressure buildup issue, a psi greater than 70 psi, or a result of worn threading in the the lid. Aquasana does not refurbish its systems, so we are unable to warranty.

I WAS WORRIED THAT THE 8 CUP PITCHER MODEL WOULD MAKE TOO LITTLE WATER AVAILABLE AT ANY ONE TIME, HOWEVER BY KEEPING A SEPARATE PITCHER BESIDE THE AQUASANA YOU HAVE 16 CUPS IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE, (QUICKER THAN A DISPENSER MODEL) THE WATER TASTES GREAT, IT IS DEFINITELY THE BEST WATER FILTER MACHINE I HAVE EVER USED. I bought it because of its superior filtering performance.
Pros: Easy to clean, No odor, Clean taste, Long lasting filter, Good Water Flow, Durable, Easy to install

Leaks all over

I had this system for a few years and it stopped working, but it was old so I replaced it bc I liked it. The first one I got started leaking all over my counter and I called and they replaced it. The second one wouldn’t stop trying to cycle the water and also leaked, so they sent me a third one and now that one is leaking. Customer service is now sending me a part but I have no faith it will work and I’ll probably end up returning it.
Pros: No odor, Clean taste, Easy to install

Not only did the stupid thing leak constantly and sound like a garbage truck, it decided to short out and pump all of its contents onto the counter in the middle of the night. I came down to find a flood, water everywhere and the machine was still running. This is also a replacement. Unit, because the first one was also defective. Waste of money.
Cons: Not durable

Works well when it works; its lifetime is awful

I have had three of these. The longest lifetime was about a year and a half, the shortest one a week and a half. The water has good taste, and I had it tested. It did well in the test, but its short lifetime makes it too expensive.

This is the second countertop Aquasana filter I’ve had and I wouldn’t be without one. I first became acquainted with aqua sauna because we had a big unit in my office and so when I found they had a home one I bought one immediately. Although our city water is pretty good once you start drinking the Aquasanta you don’t ever want to drink the city water again and I don’t buy bottles of water anymore so hopefully that saves the environment as well! The unit is well worth the investment!
