This purchase replaced my previous Cuisinart Hand Blender which was less than half as powerful, but also had a processor accessory. I am so delighted with this more powerful and improved design (open-style blade shroud doesn't clog) stick blender. The Cuisinart name comes thru again, and well worth the premium.

This is one of the best small appliances I’ve ever had. I don’t know how I did without it for all these years. The first thing I did was make vegan lentil soup. Smooth and delicious.Also I drink a protein drink every day and it can taste a little shall I say “Sandy” (it is rice based.) since I started using this immersion blender I have thick smooth slushy‘s every day. Depending on how I make it sometimes it tastes like a chocolate milkshake. I say everyone should have one in their kitchen.
