As we have been downsizing our home and simplifying our life, we had gotten rid of many kitchen gadgets that were taking up too much space and hardly used. I love to cook and this stick blender has made food prep so much easier. I used to have to pull out a huge blender just to smooth sauces or gravies. This stick blender is simple to use. It is powerful and well made. My new favorite!

I liked this one so much I bought three more as Christmas presents for the kids! Some coordination needed to master the safety button but it's powerful enough for what I'm using it for, which is to mix protein drinks. I did mix up some eggs for quiche, too. I use the blender's own action to clean itself and the cup. First with water, then with soapy water, then water to rinse.

I do not like the fact that there are two buttons to be held down while using this device. One is supposed to be a safety feature and if you let go of it, it stops. Very awkward and uncomfortable compared to the kitchen aid i have at my other home.

I didn't have space for a full blender, so this is an excellent alternative, I use it mostly for puree'ing soup ingredients. I had another manufacturers stick blender but it wasn't as powerful and more difficult to clean.
