This is the first immersion blender that I have had. I have only used it for making soup, so far, but look forward to using it for much more. It is a powerful unit and did not take long to puree 10 cups of pumpkin soup for me. It was SO much faster than using the old fashioned blender and having to divide the soup into small portions to puree!
