crack on rim

I came to the website to do some research on the space saving SS set. My friend owns a set and we both love to use them. I have owned the 8701 1QT pot for years and take really good care of it. I just noticed a crack on the rim. The pot has never been dropped, there is no dent, and it has never gone from one extreme to another, it has never been placed in the dishwasher or the oven. I tried to initiate a warranty replacement, and it is not listed so I cannot proceed. After reading some of the reviews and having a failure on the pot I own, I am concerned about the investment. How can I get my favorite little pot replaced?
