This cookware is wonderful. It cooks evenly, and it's very good for browning meats. I have used the covered saute pan to make pot roast and Swedish meatballs. I made chili in the stock pot. I made gravy in one of the sauce pans. I made a fritatta in one of the omelette pans. All came out very well. This excellent set is a major bargain at this price.

dangerous and waste of money

I received this set as a Christmas gift, so not even a year has gone by. While making baby food, we heard a loud pop and looked over at the stove to see that the glass lid had completely shattered. All that food went to waste. This has never happened with our >30 year old Farberware set.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Harder to clean than I expected. The saute pan would be more useful if it were larger. The tall narrow stock pot won't get much use either. Just a weird section of sizes overall for the typical home, but I have to take part of the blame for not thinking it through.

The absolute best cookware I have used or owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the Calphalon Signature Stainless 10 PC set. Took a short time to master stainless cooking again but now I would not take anything for this outstanding cookware. It performs exceptionally and cleans up like a breeze! I actually put the set in my will for my daughter in law to have. Expensive? yes... worth every cent? Absolutely! This is truly the last cookware you will ever have to buy!

My Family Is Loving This As Much As I Am!

I received this set for free, in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. From the moment I opened the box I was VERY impressed by the quality of this set. The stainless steel boast some beautiful asthetics. You can tell that great care was taken in every detail of the design.
The weight of these pots and pans is solid. Makes them feel like a piece that will be kept for decades, rather the needing to be replaced in a few years as other sets that I have had needed to be. These are certainly worth the cost of them for that reason alone.
Most importantly, the food that I cooked on this turned out AMAZING! my favorite has been the eggs. Never before have I cooked them to such perfection! My family is loving this just as much as I am!
