Great Cookware, but...

This is actually great cookware, as stated in the review title, but after using it for a while, and obviously our fault for not being more careful, three of the eight pieces have become scratched and when used, release little pieces of black particulate (non-stick material). One of the sauce pans is totally unusable and the other one is close to being unusable. The stock pot is also getting close to being unusable. So it's time to replace the set with a new one (yes, Calphalon Contemporary Non-Stick).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great value for a starter set

I have enjoyed cooking everything from omelets to soups in my new Calphalon pans. Very even heat and VERY easy cleanup. I do find that the sizes in this set are a bit small so am slowly adding to my collection. I think I'm gonna need a bigger drawer!

finish doesn't last

I've had these pans for 7 years, and the 2 frying pans started to flake after 1 year. They mark-up easily, even when using the proper utensils. They seem to be very well made, other than this. I've since bought another frying pan for much cheaper that has upheld better. I just don't think they're worth the money. You can get just as good of a non-stick set for much less.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

One pot handle came out of the box scratched bad, otherwise they are a beautiful set and i love that the food doesnt stick like promised, but they seem to stain on the bottom and around the sides not sure how to get them off.I think their a bit expensive.

I bought this set to replace the stainless set I had. I originally bought the stainless because they where dishwasher safe. But they were horrible to cook with. And did not come clean in the dishwasher. The new set is great comes clean and looks great. The best part is they cook great!!

We've had this set for a few weeks now, replacing a 20 year old set of the "base model" Calphalon we received as wedding gifts. It was well worth the upgrade! Even cooking, nicely weighted pans, stay cool handles, and we love that there is the option to put the dirty pans in the dishwasher if we don't have time/energy to handwash.

love the Calphalon Nonstick 8-pc. Cookware Set. Love the show, watches it on fox KTVU Channel 2 in San Francisco, Ca. I'm a retaired grandmother of three kids, 9, 8, and 7. My son has one daughter and my daughter has 2, they both work late night jobs and I get them Monday thru Friday. I watches you show while cleaning while they are at school.
