The quality I have known in the past from Calphalon just isn't here on this Classic Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set. The edges around the lip of the cookware feel sharp and the finish seems dull, in my opinion. The bottom of all of the cookware isn't seamless like Calphalon products I purchased a year ago. This leaves a channel or groove for oil, grease, and food collect, if not paying attention.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought his set a month ago because I already had one of the larger pots. I love the lids and the spout. It makes it so easy to drain water. One disappointing feature is the discoloration of the inside of the pot after first use and only while boiling water.

I would like to start by saying that I have had Calphalon Nonstick Cookware for years and absolutely loved it. My sister needed an upgrade from her mismatched, garage sale junk, and so I thought I’d hand mine down to her, and treat myself to a new stainless steel set. I was enticed by all the handy features included with this set (measurement lines and straining lids, etc). She was grateful; and I was excited right up until I used my new set for the first time. They immediately had discoloration. I mean from the very first use! The skillets are awful. Everything sticks to them. No matter how much I scrub, the stains are going nowhere. The pots are not much better. They have strange, white discolorations. I am just disgusted by the lack of quality from my favorite cookware brand. It has been 3 months now, and I am giving up. This set is going in the trash as soon as my new nonstick set arrives.

Stainless steel is not inherently nonstick so the food will tend to stick to them. Oil and temperature are major factors in food not sticking, and turning out properly. You may clean the stainless surface with Bar Keeper's Friend cleanser and a nylon sponge or soft bristle brush. Terrible product

My husband purchased these back in October 2018 for me for my birthday. I was super excited to have a nice set of pots and pans but these are terrible. They discolor after first use and everything sticks. Even when you put oil in the pan it will still stick. We have tried to use these pans numerous times over the last 8 months and we are terribly unsatisfied with this product. Wish I had gotten the non stick set instead. In the mean time I’ll be returning back to used my t-fal set and these will continue to collect dust.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I LOVE this pot and pan set. Each piece heats quickly and evenly. Nice heavy, solid feel. Handles do stay cool to touch, though I'm not sure about the stock pot handles since they're much smaller. Love the strainer lids. Came shipped in a plain cardboard box. Great price for Calphalon!
