Cooks great but..

Bought these 3 months ago. They cook amazing. They are "dishwasher safe" but the color is fading on the pans. They have started turning light grey. Worse with flame hits them from cooking. Don't mind paying the price for the set but, I expected to not have problems with the appearance following the care guide.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great set however...

I love this set and I've had them 3 years. I just decided to put a few of them in the dishwashe since they are dishwasher safe... I should have read the reviews first.... Now three of my pans are a white/gray color and don't match the rest. Not happy about that at all I don't think dishwasher safe should be advertised.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What happened to Calphalon quality?

We are definitely not happy with this cookware set. We expected a lot more from Calphalon, having bought their pans for years. The quality has gone way down....I guess to compete with the cheaper market.
With little over a year's use, most of the pans are really scratched, all the way through the cooking finish....and that's with only plastic or wood utensils and very careful use by only my wife and me. Also, the fry pans have warped, and that's the real sign of the diminished quality of Calphalon. None of my older Calphalon fry pans have even thought about warping.
The level of quality that made Calphalon worth buying, is gone. You may as well buy cheap pots and pans. Don't think that you're getting a good deal on Calphalons like I thought...you're just paying more than you should for cheaply made cookware.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Scratch easily

My wife and I received this set as a wedding gift 2 and a half years ago. We've been extremely careful with them and using them like the directions state, but have STILL had numerous scratches where we've stirred, and the coating is gone. We're incredibly disappointed with the quality of this set, as it was expensive!

Major disappointment

My now wife (then fiance) and I had been looking for a set of cookware to register for our wedding. She did leave the decision to me as I do most of the cooking. I wanted the set to last for a long time, so I did take a lot of time comparing the sets. In the end, unfortunately, the Calphalon set won. We even decided to register for the roasting pan to match! We were elated when her work friends pitched in and got the set for us. We also registered for all new non-stick safe utensils to use with the pan, and also the protective mats to stack them. Super committed to making them last long. After only about 3 months of use, they started to show wear. Not a lot in the middle of the pan, but on the edges. We thought maybe it was because of the dishwasher, although they were advertised dishwasher-safe (one of the selling points for me). We then decided to wash them by hand after use regardless. The wear continued, and now after less than a year of use, there are scratches all the way through the coating on the cooking surface with rust starting on the inside. So now we will have to replace them and have to explain to my wife's work friends that spent thier money on us, that the pans they bought were not as advertised and lasted less than a year, probably far less than any cheapo set. Needless to say, we do not reccomend.

I am kicking myself for holding out as long as we did before purchasing these pots and pans! In regular pots I would have burned the rice to the pan. But with these - it came right off. No scrubbing or soaking!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointing quality

I've had this set for two and a half years and despite caring for the set according to Calphalon's directions, the surfaces have developed deep scratches on the nonstick surface. I didn't use metal utensils, didn't stack the pans, and used the recommended dishwasher detergent and still ended up with scratches. I am not sure how much longer these will hold up, and I am concerned about using them with the scratches on the nonstick surface.

Worst Cookware I Had to ever deal with . Get scratched even with a wooden specula . Very expensive comparing to a quality made .
