LG Stylo 4 is a Game Changer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Stylo 4 about a week ago and let me just say that I'm in love. For years, I've been a user of another phone well-known for its stylus pen, which I won't mention here, but the phone would always end up in a boot loop after a while and I would have to buy a new phone. The last time this happened I decided to switch brands but I was on a budget and I came across the Stylo 4. It almost seemed too good to be true. The phone is absolutely beautiful. I love the tempered glass although I'm very nervous about dropping the phone. The screen is crystal clear and huge, which I love! I was unsure how I would feel about the UI but it's perfect. I've spent the better part of the past week customizing it to my liking. This means the phone's screen is on for most of the day and uses a lot of battery power but I still don't need to charge it until night time. The camera is excellent although I'm not much of a picture taker. There are several pretty cool features, like creating GIFS, that I'll need to try out soon. There are three areas that I think can be improved: (1) The SIM/MicroSD card tray is very inconvenient to access. I have to use the ejector pin that comes with the phone to access and the tray is hard to push back into the slot. (2) The stylus pen is too skinny for my taste. I feel like I'm holding a small twig between my fingers. It's also annoying that I can only insert the stylus in one direction. (3) The native music player app can use an upgrade. As I said before, I'm not a picture taker and I'm not a gamer; I'm a music lover. I have a huge music library that I put on a MicroSD card for easy listening offline. I'm very picky when it comes to music players and how the album art is displayed. The music app on the Stylo 4 has a decent UI but it's very white and bright. It could use a dark theme or there should be an option to switch between a dark and light theme depending on the time of day. I also can't change how my albums are sorted. The only option is by album title. I'd like to be able to sort by title, artist, or release date when I want. Finally, I can't access the music player on the lock screen. I'd like to be able to pause, play, skip, and rewind from the lock screen instead of unlocking my phone. I'd rather not download another music app although I did download LG's Music Flow Player, which, again, has a great UI but it's also white/bright and doesn't have music control on the lock screen. It seems that the native music app and the Music Flow Player could be combined into one powerful app.
All in all, I'm so glad I bought the Stylo 4. You can have a superb phone even on a budget. Hopefully, there are some upcoming updates to the software that will change the look of the music players. Obviously, that's the most important factor for me :)

Problem with voicemail volume with Google Fi.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a Amazon Prime Exclusive Stylo 4 to use with Google's Google Fi service.
It mostly works but does seem to have one annoying compatibility issue. When I attempt to play a voicemail in the Google phone app the volume is unacceptably low. I have used the volume buttons to turn the volume all the way up but I can only hear the message if I am in a totally quiet room and I hold the phone no more than 4 inches away from my ear. The speaker volume is quite acceptable for other uses. Calls are loud enough. Music and audiobooks play fine. It's just the voicemails I can't hear.
It's actually kind of a big problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this device in a pressure sales environment when my last phone randomly decided to die during a business trip. as an avid developer and tech enthusiast I was worried that this device would not be adequate for my day-to-day usage as well as for some more demanding cryptocurrency applications and some white gaming when bored.... in the end I was pleasantly surprised that not only does this device have more than enough processing power for the day today but also is adequate in gaming and cryptocurrency mining situations which is a huge indicator of the device's potential for me.
LG has done it again and I cannot save the words required in order to convey how happy I am with this device! #Stylo4
