The Fisher Paykel gas range and electric oven has been a welcome replacement for our old electric range and oven. It has proven easy to clean and the extra features like the rapid proof have been a welcome improvement. The oven size is relatively small compared to other models we looked at which limits us to one shelf for roasting and two if we are doing flat pans or muffin tins. The glide out shelves make moving food in and out of the oven simple. All in all, we are happy with our purchase.

I generally am pleased with my new range. It is an adjustment for me however. I moved into a home that could not accommodate a double oven and separate range as I had previously. The Fisher Paykel has a nice appearance and seems to be well made. I do wish that there were a way to turn on the oven light without having to have the settings leave the light on when the oven is on, A light switch or button is needed. I have to open the oven door to view the contents. My other problem is that I had a Wolf cooktop that the could reduce the gas flame to a very low simmer. The two in front of this range have a simmer that is the inner ring and it is too focused on that small section and too hot. I am buying a simmer mat to end this problem. The low setting on the back burners is too high for a slow simmer. The fan that pushes hot air continuously from the oven while it is on is annoying on hot days. It raises the temperature of my kitchen by at least 4 degrees. It will be fine in the winter, but NOT in the summer. On the plus side, the range is easy to clean, heats very quickly on the burners and the oven. The knobs are easy to use and attractive.
