Fun to use

I have only used this for one major family dinner but it was a joy to use. I live in an area without natural gas so the induction top is great. I was wary of the color because I feared paint problems. Unfortunately I was right to be concerned because this happened while I suppose I was removing a pan from the oven. What can be done about this? Should I have purchased the stainless range?

Fault codes for all oven use

Stove LOOKS great. Maybe checking to see if it worked BEFORE it left the factory would have been wise. All oven settings return a FAULT code. Imagine if cars were sold in similar fashion. A stove has a few functions. Stove top - burners, Oven - bake, broil and convection. That HAS to be right. The rest may provide some value to some customers, but the basics have to function. GE Profile made Great products; it was half the reason i went with GE this time - because of its reputation, my experience with my stove of 15 years that worked without ever needing a service call. Disappointed with this purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Exactly what I wanted

Convection oven? Check. Induction cooktop? Check. Lots of burners? Check. A big oven with lots of space? Check. BONUS: warming drawer. Additionally, it's beautiful. I hate the cold, industrial, hard-to-clean stainless steel look, and in my blue-and-white Provencal kitchen, white with bronze knobs and handles looks stunning. The induction range is so fast and so easy to control precise heat. The whole is easy to clean, inside and out. I love to bake, and so far, the breads and pastries and meats I have cooked have been perfect.
To add to all this, it's GE. Reliable, long-lasting, much of it made in America. Hoorah.
I was drawn to this first by the look - I saw it in a magazine and thought, wow. Then I researched it and discovered I could get convection/induction together! I LOVE IT.

I read a lot about induction cook tops before purchasing this appliance, and GE Cafe's claims have not disappointed me! I purchased new cookware to accommodate the cook top, and I couldn't be happier with this stove. Both the cook top and the oven cook the food with precision like I've never seen before! The best word I can use to describe the cooking is "gently" - it turns out GREAT food! I've never enjoyed cooking so much!

We bought this about a month ago and love it. Just wish GE would come through with the pots and pans that are part of the deal. Next to impossible to get an update from Ge as to when we might see them.
