Love the induction top and convection oven

The previous owner of my house designed the open kitchen with the stove located in the center of the kitchen island smack in the middle of everyone including children of all ages. I love the cooking ease of a convection oven and wanted to ensure that my stove cooktop would be as safe as it could be where so many people sit and visit while I'm cooking. This stove is stylish as the center of attention and safe! I love it!!

Excellent quality and efficiency

My new cafe induction range cooks meals in half of the time or less of my old standard electric range. The quality is immediately noticeable out of the box. The precision control and efficiency is remarkable.

Love induction!

If you’re on the fence about induction, do it. It’s fast, easy to clean up the cooktop, doesn’t make fumes or excess heat and it’s a great excuse to get rid of the crappy old cookware. If you’ve got cookware you love, make double sure you can use it with induction. A magnet has to stick strongly to your pan and it has to be flat on the bottom. The Cafe series handle style goes nicely with my Electrolux Icon column fridge and freezer handles. Visually, it doesn’t scream for attention. I wish the timer beeper were louder, but I only burnt one pan of cookies before I learned to set the timer on my phone. And I think the knobs might not come off for cleaning. My only complaints. It’s possible that you could do some timer setting with the app on your phone. I researched many induction stoves, and this one has a nice balance of features with simple operation and reasonable price.

Excellent, but cafe you missed the upsell

We love ours! It cooks so fast and the induction is great! However, Cafe, you missed the chance to sell us a silicone induction cooktop protector that is properly labeled to show where the burners are. You are leaving money on the table!

Quiet, powerful, even heating

We have had this range for 3 weeks so far and absolutely love it. The elements are powerful - I have learned only to use high if I want to boil water quickly. The heat is even and I can do a low simmer easily. It is very quiet which was a pleasant surprise. The oven heats very evenly and I love using the sliding rack. The range is also really easy to clean. I am so pleased with this range and recommended it to a friend who bought one too.

Great range, not so great app

We got our induction range today. Installing it was easy. Works great.
Then we tried the app, and wanted to install it on multiple phones using the instructions here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=000061836
Srsly GE? Multiple users on different devices, all using the same userid & password??? C'mon. How can you build such a nice appliance and such a stupid app?
