Low-quality product with terrible support

Our range arrived a week and a half ago. I was so excited and loved the induction feature... for FOUR DAYS. Then the stovetop stopped working. It turns on, and within a few seconds just turns off again. I contacted GE and they said, oh, we can get someone out in a few weeks. I said, that's pretty rough, I just got this thing and this is a terrible experience. They said, oh, we have a servicer that can come out (last) Sunday. I agreed to the appointment. It is now Wednesday. The servicer has requested eight hours a day of availability for four days straight and has not come for ANY OF THEM. GE sold me a broken product for a lot of money and now is not bothering to solve this problem. I could have skipped spending all that money and I'd still have my old working stove!
GE, if you don't publish this I understand, I will just go post it on a more neutral site. But I thought you should see it first since you have put me in this awful situation for Easter week... I have already been a full week without a working stovetop and have no idea when this will even be resolved.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Help - replacement cooktop

Hi, I have this range but cracked the cooktop. I was told that the original replacement part was no longer being made. Is there an new cooktop surface I can use to replace this? Thanks!

OMG - the BLACK is the most gorgeous color ever!!

I hesitated buying this range because I wanted the stainless steel which was not available from the store I chose. I finally had to order the black since I have been without a stove for weeks and weeks waiting for the Stainless steel to be available. OMG! It is not BLACK. It is the most gorgeous color dark slate grey I have ever seen!! It makes my granite counters more beautiful than they are and the SS microwave looks even better above the stove. WOW - they should have changed the color from black to dark slate grey.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So many things to love...but

I honestly love much about this range. Induction is a great cooking method. In fact I was telling everyone they should upgrade. We moved into our home 6 months ago and I an so annoyed by the loud buzzing the induction makes that I hesitate to use it. One night I had three burners going and I really wanted to toss the whole thing. So LOUD. I don’t even have a bunch of kids running around anymore, I can’t imagine using this stove for fairy meals. I hate that first thing every morning when I turn on my water kettle the wonderful quiet of the morning is replaced with BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Don’t buy this. I’m so mad that I am stuck with this expensive annoyance.

oven racks are terrible

Contractor installed range on 8/10/20. Induction works well. Control knobs work well for induction control. BIG PROBLEM. The oven racks are terrible. They are very difficult to slide in and out. We owned a Kitchen Aid double oven wall mounted. It was great. The racks slid in and out very easily. The dark blue interior cleaned easily. We purchased this GE CAFE thinking it was the top of the line. Racks are terrible, very cheaply built and designed.

Great looking stove but....

I have this stove just about a year and I am on my second cooktop. The first cooktop seem to scratch just sliding a pot to the side. Then it seemed that the spots were becoming deeper gouges. I have the correct pots to use on this cooktop as I had a least expensive cooktop of another brand for close to 10 years that I maintained perfectly and it never scratched. This expensive stove has an incredibly high maintenance cooktop that I stress every night when I need to clean it, just unbelievable. I am doing everything possible to maintain this second cooktop scratch free, I feel like I’m walking on eggshells every night when I cook! Very stressful!!! There needs to be an improvement on the design of this cooktop. I would have thought twice about purchasing this grouping of products if I knew this was going to be a problem.

Very loud

It's beautiful and I love the induction part but it so loud! It's loud when you use the cook top and the oven, and no it's not just the fan sound.

Not happy with the steam clean feature. Took way too long to clean the lightly used oven.Also took along time to preheat the oven to 350 degrees
