So far so good- but how to use big burner?

I am enjoying my new oven (Cafe induction dual oven with copper handle package). I was worried about noise of induction but it’s fine- as long as a good induction compatible pan is used that is also the right size for the burner . My issue is that the large burner on the stove top (in the front right position- most useful spot) is really big and seems to need a pan with a 10 3/4”- 11 1/2” base! Even a 12” fry pan only has a 10” base. It gives off an unhappy high pitched whine/hum if pan doesn’t fill burner hob. Still trying to find big enough pan! Otherwise it works great, heats up quickly. Oven dials and Dash are nice in that it is only lit when in use so is otherwise subtle. A lot of oven features need Wifi and Connecting, which is unfortunate and likely unnecessary (why can I only access AirFry if I use my phone??) Careful re changing the handles. I got the copper handle/knob kit which is lovely but when it went to put them on the set screw on the existing oven handle was installed improperly and stripped or too far in. GE customer service was no help at all. Not even any advice or tips. Apparently defects like that have to be raised within 7 days which is unlikely! Builder was able to get it undone and changed over luckily .

Annoying Rubbery Gasket/Trim

I like so much about this range but surely there is a better option for separating the cooktop portion from the stainless steel control portion than the rubbery product that seems so difficult to clean and looks unattractive.

Machine tries to be too smart and fails at it

Unfortunately, when you turn the dials up to high, the stove top will stop when it think your pans are too hot. Since the sensor on my machine seems to have arrived busted, I won't get to heat up my food at full blast until it gets repaired. Smarter appliances shouldn't mean replacing human controls. Especially something like choosing your temperature, which is extremely critical for cooking food properly.
Any notifications sent to the app are always five to ten minutes late, which is absolutely absurd. If I cared about a companion apps notifications working, I'd be furious. The notifications are just another way "smart" appliances try to help but the execution here is ridiculous.
The interface on the front is perfectly straightforward so I give this appliance 2 stars instead of 1. L

Excellent range for home cooks

The stove is responsive and very quick. It's noticeably quicker to get a meal cooked. We put the range through its paces over Thanksgiving weekend. It bakes, roasts, and air fries very well. Turkey mode was fairly good, although the target temperature of 170 was higher than the USDA target of 165. It was handy to see the temperature of the turkey as it cooked, and a 14 lb spatchcocked turkey took about 90 minutes to be fully roasted. Air fried vegetables and fish come out crispy.

Perfect for me

This range is just about my ideal range. I'm still getting used to induction cooking, so running into some cooking issues, mainly dealing with controlling how much heat is being applied to the cookware. The range does emit a high-pitch buzzing when initially heating up a pan, but it seems to fade after awhile. Either that or I'm just getting used to it. I love how easy it is to clean the cooking surface after any meal prepared on the cooktop.
I've only used the oven part maybe five times. The app is also useful as one time I was occupied in my office on a call and I turned off the oven remotely when I knew the food was done. One thing I hope the software people adjust is that in the app, the cooking time is from the time you reach the pre-determined temperature. If I'm still preparing food and then place the food in the oven after 10 minutes, the app has already reported 10 minutes of cooking time. It'd be nice if that timer reset to zero after the first time the door was opened. Either that, or at least have a pop-up message on that app asking if I wanted to restart the cooking timer.

Induction stove oven. Meh.

The induction top works great overall. For burner knobs high is very high, medium is quite high, and low is too low. The warming plate is silly and takes up space-it's useless. The oven is what gets this stove its rating. Preheating is very inaccurate compared to temperature reading of a very reliable wireless thermometer. Once heated, the temperature can fluctuate 30-40 degrees above or below the desired set point. This happens on convection or normal bake modes. The warming drawer. Great crumb collector.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Preheat Reporting

The only issue I have with this range is the time it takes to preheat the oven and the fact that it reports it is preheated when it is not at the preset temp (e.g. at 260 degrees when set for 375 degrees) using SmartHQ
