Poor build quality

This range was not a cheap range. I installed it myself. Having done so. I discovered multiple sheet metal screw on back stripped out which would have caused vibration noises on range
Had to replace with next size larger screws.

Congratulations on the new range! We bet it looks wonderful in your kitchen and hope you are enjoying some delicious food. We're sorry to hear about the screws on the back panel and the extra work that put on you. Your feedback is appreciated and is valuable for the future improvement of our products. Please let us know if you have any questions about your new range. - John@Cafe

Beautiful, sleek appearance

My last GE Profile range was still working well (white, electric) when I replaced it, and I purchased it new in 1997 when I built my home, so it was doing well for 24 years+. I had to finally replace my dishwasher, so while I was at it, I replaced all the rest of my white kitchen appliances and changed over to stainless steel.
I was torn whether to get a gas range (which I have wanted forever) or an induction range (electric, but much cleaner than gas). After researching, I decided to go with induction since the glasstop doesn't get hot to the touch, foods heat up much quicker than gas or standard coil electric, and it looks beautiful. It 'feels' high-end, and offers customizable brass or copper handles for an elegant look. I've used the oven and stove top and both have worked well. I highly recommend!

Fantastic range

Was skeptical at first coming from a home with a gas range. I didn’t have the option at the new place so I went with an induction range and I’m glad I did. This range hits fast and you have fantastic control over the temperature. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves to cook but doesn’t have gas available

Great Range But....

I really wanted to love this range. It's very attractive and looks great in our new kitchen. Getting used to induction cooking was much easier than I thought it would be. I love the lighting behind the cooktop knobs, the oven controls are easy to use and connecting to wifi was a breeze. However on my first use I discovered that my oven door does not open to a full 90 degree angle which makes it difficult to use the bottom most position for the oven rack without bumping into the door and of course forget about resting a cookie sheet on the door for a moment while changing cooking rack positions. A service tech came out and is going to order new hinges to see if it fixes the problem. I then noticed to 2 separate occasions a very lout POP sound when using the oven. I Googled this problem and it seems that it could indicate a problem with one of the filter boards burning out, but I still have use of all of the burners and the oven. This loud sound is very startling and I am sure it is not normal expected behavior and indicates a problem. I am afraid of a possible electrical fire issue occurring. I have only had this range for just over 2 weeks and it should not have these problems. I could have purchased a much less expensive induction range that would have been delivered much sooner than the nearly 6 months that I waited for my Cafe range. I thought I was buying a quality appliance that was worth the wait but I fear I have received a lemon.

What a wonderful range

When we moved to Florida we were disappointed to learn the scarcity of gas ranges, especially since our new home is all electric. The fix was to try an induction range. We had had a GE Cafe gas range in Colorado which we adored, so naturally we wanted the same features and style in our new home. The induction range is even better than gas with very precise controls and so many more options than we had before. We really are enjoying cooking on this range!

Professional appeal and consumer price

This replaced a builder-grade electric range. The induction elements are SO much more responsive than the infrared ones. The convection oven with all the different modes gives us more options than we had before. The design is clean and modern.
The only drawback is we can't get the legs short enough to be level with our countertop, which is a standard 36" high. The range at it's lowest is almost 1/2" too high

Love this range

We bought this range a few months ago although I have always cooked with gas and was hesitant to change. We LOVE this range. The induction cook top was easy to adjust to. It is every bit as responsive as gas, is in some ways easier to cook with, and is so much better for the environment. The electric oven is wonderful. The decision to pay extra to get knobs instead of touch controls was worth every penny. The glass cook top is easy to clean and the oven controls are intuitive and easy to use. We were initially concerned about reports of noise when using the burners on induction ranges, as I am sensitive to noise. With some pans there is a slight buzz when it is on high. However it quickly goes away when you lower the power and is not an issue.
