I would buy this product again

When I received these knob covers from stellar reviews I was hesitant that they were going to work/last on our doors. They worked great!! They were very simple to install and easy to operate. We were able to teach our 5 year old how to use them as well so she could get her snacks from our pantry without the baby being able to open the door. Definitely would recommend these to friends

Effective but beware your nails

These door knob covers are effective for keeping toddlers from opening doors because they lack the finger length and grip strength to squeeze both sides of the door knob, not because they can't figure it out. With that said, I'm sure my hulk toddler will be able to get past this soon; so, I will still be careful of what I store in his bedroom closet. When installing these, make sure your fingernails are very short or you will break them all trying to separate the two pieces from the package. I wish they had packaged the two pieces of the knob separately. When trying to remove the cover, I felt a certain amount of rage because the instructions for removal are not intuitive and even though my nails are short, I still felt them being damaged. I will probably use pliers to remove the cover tomorrow. The product could be improved if there was a key to install and remove the covers. I received this baby proofing item from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Outsmarted my older children and even my husband

The Safety 1st OutSmart Knob Covers outsmarted my older children and also my husband, they all tried to open the door with the knob on by pressing on the decoy button, We all even made a bet that the person who was able to open the door would get to choose takeout dinner for that afternoon. I will say tho they are a tad bit hard to open to install/uninstall them even after seeing the instructions on how to open. Overall we are very happy with this baby proofing item for our 11 month old since he seems to be able to get into anything and everything( except for this ofcourse) Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby proofing item.

Perfect for detouring little hands

I received the Safety 1st OutSmart Knob Covers thanks to the stellar product testing panel. I have a 2-year-old that recently discovered that he can open doors and this product was definitely needed to finish babyproofing. The knobs were easy to install, I do have another brand but preferred the way that these open. There are grippers on the outside that you can squeeze to turn the door handle- my favorite feature because it is easy to open the door like they aren't even there. The other ones that I have it is hard to get a good grip on the doorknob. There is a small decoy button that covers where the lock would be. This prevents little hands from reaching in and accidentally locking the door! The decoy button is soft so if it is pressed – no big deal! We did find that opening the decoy button area to lock the door was a little difficult for my husband since he has larger fingers. I have small hands so it was not a problem for me. Overall i would buy more knob covers if needed- they even look good and not bulky!

It works!

So glad I tried these! My 19 month old had finally figured out how to turn door knobs so I got these knob covers just in time. The decoy button works exactly like intended and even when he attempts to turn the knob he cant open the door. I love how I can just open the door as usual (with only a little extra pressure), and it's not at all an inconvenience like some other products. Will definitely be ordering more! (Product received by the Stellar Product Testing Panel)

Easy to use

I received these doorknobs through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and was excited to give it a go! The installation was relatively easy, though separating the tabs to open the cover didn't go as smoothly as I'd have liked. They're very easy to open for the adults and my kids never figured it out, so the decoy button was great. I liked that there wasn't any extra step to opening the door and it could be done with one hand. I think this would be best for toddlers and younger preschoolers, as I do think some older kids would be able to figure it out. Overall I was pleased with the product!

The BEST product to protect my escape artist

I was given this baby proofing item to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. These came at the perfect timing too! My daughter is 15 months and starting to get into everything! Doors leading to our basement or our back door become a big concern for us. She started playing with the doorknobs and I knew we needed something ASAP to make sure that she was safe. When I received these knobs to try, they seemed sturdy and easy to use. Installation was very easy and quick! The decoy button was an interesting concept that I hadn't seen on other products of the same nature. What I loved most about this knob cover was how quickly I could use them and the fact that they actually worked. Now I feel comfortable knowing my basement and backdoor are protected from my daughter trying to make an accidental escape.

Great concept, but didnt work for us

I received these doorknob covers to test. They were easy to open and I assume they would be to install, but unfortunately our doorknobs were too wide for this design to fit/fully snap shut. It's too bad because I did appreciate the silicon spots to squeeze and open and the covering over the lock.
