Not a great seat

I used this car seat with my daughter for a year. Pros: it is pretty light and I liked the large canopy.
Cons: the straps are floppy and get twisted so easily. I would always have trouble getting baby in as I held her in one hand and fiddled with the straps to get them straight. I wished they were more rigid or had holders to keep out of the way as you are getting baby in. I started to make a habit of getting them all straight after I took baby out but practically you have other things on your mind as you're leaving your car with a baby!
-The position to adjust the handle is low and towards the back of the seat. You have to reach pretty far back. I absolutely hated this. Hard if you're tall, short, pregnant or picky. Compare to the chicco, where the buttons are nice and accessible at the front. Keep in mind you're adjusting that handle quite often so I felt it should have been easier.

For anyone considering this seat, I would see if that handle adjust position bothers you and check the straps. They may have improved this since I purchased mine.
Overall, I regretted my purchase of this car seat. Compared to car seats that my friends had, I felt this one was more finicky and harder to use on a day to day basis than others. I think that I originally selected it because it was a bit lighter than the others I was considering but once the baby gets heavy, they're heavy and carrying the car seat isn't going to be fun anyway. A extra pound of a better car seat or isn't really going to make a big difference but the usability does matter a lot. In this price range I think the chicco or the britax are better options. I disliked it so much that I will be getting a different car seat for my next child.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
