Nice oven, could easily be better

This oven is pretty good, and it worked right out of the box. It holds temperature plus or minus about 12 degrees F. and bakes well. Preheat is very thorough. Front and back lights are a nice touch. Don't forget to lube the oven liner rack rails with the provided graphite or your top rack/s will seize in place when hot and chip/scratch the enamel on the racks and oven liner. There are a few nitpicky things that on a thousand dollar top of the line oven bug me though. I don't like that it shuts off after preheating, and it shuts off at the end of bake time. That's just dumb, especially so when making cookies. I have the timer chime at its highest setting, and if you are older than 40 or have the TV on it is inaudible from the next room, it needs to be at least twice as loud as it is and it should have a choice of tones because some of us hear lower frequencies better. Since I can't reliably hear the timer chime I decided to use the phone app instead. I found the Iphone app is difficult to install, it took several download and install attempts and 4 hours of time over two days to get it to work, It requires you to set up an account with GE then requires email verification which took overnight to arrive in my mail box. The app is supposed to work with the timer but doesn't really do so. The phone does chime as it should when preheat is complete but not when baking time is finished. When baking time is finished instead of the audible alert that I expected the phone displays a white balloon with text in it indicating baking is finished, what good is that? Who is going to sit and watch their phone? Dumb! So I have to use my phone's timer function instead which is actually a lot less trouble. The owners manual is incomplete, leaving out many details of "how to" operation. The online one is no better. Youtube videos and internet posts from other oven owners are more useful. What ever happened to good owners manuals?

No Air Fryer in 27" Model

This is a wonderful oven. However, the 27" model does not have a "no preheat air fryer" mode as indicated on the website. Only the 30" model has the feature. If you want the air fryer feature, you must get the 30" model.

I love how easy this oven is to use! Starting the oven is easy and it heats fast. The bottom rack slides out smooth compared to other oven racks. Love the design as well. The clock numbers are big so I can see the time from across the room.

I have only had this oven for about two weeks but I am loving it so far. I was able to easily connect the oven to my internet for the smart features and am easily able to control the functions and timer remotely if I choose. Cooks evenly. In case you are trying to match a microwave as I was, the glass is dark gray and not black as I was initially told. It is so dark it still looks good with a black and stainless microwave.

Takes longer to preheat then my old oven
