I bought this appliance 3 months ago while in the middle of a remodel. We have had the appliance in the house for a few weeks now and I love how easy it is to use and how quickly it heats up.

A lot bigger than you think

We had a 30 year old GE cooktop that worked great but we did a total kitchen Reno and I loved the Cafe appliances when I saw them. it was just installed so I have only used it a few times. It feels much bigger than the previous cook top. It heated up quickly and I got used to adjusting the temp pretty easily. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because when you clean the top, wipe it or, had to cover to do backsplash, it beeps as if it is turning on. I worried that the tile installer might accidentally turn on. Otherwise, so far so good.

Great “knob free” replacement

Great replacement to update my cooktop. Replaced a GE Profile with knobs, with this Cafe item. Did not want to replace my pans, so induction was out. So far great cooker and easy to keep clean without the knobs.

High maintenance

There are so many great features about this cooktop but cleaning it is definitely high maintenance if you follow the manufacturer’s instructions

Before first use, clean with the ceramic cleaner, but just clean regularly with a mild dish soap and non abrasive cloth or sponge. For harder to clean messes, follow the instructions in the manual. Sleek and clean

We love the look, and ease of using this beautiful stovetop. However, the controls are very hard to see, since there are no dials, and very little contrasting color to alert you to their location. Also, they are extremely sensitive and laying even the lightest thing on or running a towel over them turns the burners on! Only the sound they make when turning on reminds you of their sensitivity. They’re going to take some getting used to.

I bought a Cafe kitchen suite, and I must say, I am very happy with the look and functionality of all pieces. This cooktop is particularly beautiful. I look forward to many years of cooking on it. A definite great buy.
