Wonderful Performance from this Cooktop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third induction cooktop, the previous two being "luxury" brands and very disappointing. When our previous cooktop died, we decided to go with the 36 inch Bosch Flex Induction and so far we are thrilled with our choice. The Bosch cooktop is powerful and very responsive. We are enjoying using the flex induction feature which performs beautifully, especially when using a rectangular griddle. It works much better than the bridge does on other brands because the element is evenly hot throughout the entire surface. The only negative that I have found so far is the fact that there are not individual contols for each hob, which is what I was used to. It is taking me a while to get used to one main control for all the burners. It is cumbersome when you have more than one pot on the cooktop to continually have to go back and forth just to change the settings on each element. In my opinion it is much easier to have individual controls for each burner. Overall the excellent performance of this cooktop makes up for the less than ideal controls.

Great Way to Cook
on October 14, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned this cooktop for about 18 months. It is a well designed, looks very nice and is a very enjoyable way to cook. Induction cooking is amazing. This cooktop heats liquids up very rapidly. It really is like cooking with gas in that it is very easy to control the temperature unlike other non-induction electric cooktops.
It also is super easy to clean the glass. We use a little vinegar and a microfiber cloth and it easily wipes off the glass.
The only reason I gave this 4 stars is becuase about 6 months after we owned it, the control board failed. Bosch sent out a technician a few days later and replaced it under warranty. I would not hessitate for one moment to buy another one the next time I move.

Better than expectations. Great cooktop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bosch Benchmark Induction Cooktop completely meets my expectations. I had an electric element cooktop before and gas before that. Gas is fast. Sealed electric are easy to clean. This induction cooktop embodies the best of both. We used to have to pre-heat our cookware. Now, we have to have everything ready before turning on the stove. I haven't used gas in a long time so I don't know exactly how the speed rates between the two; however, it is close enough in my opinion to be just as fast. This stove is much much easier to clean, and since the cooktop itself doesn't get nearly as hot as the cookware, stuff that spills is very easy to clean. And with no knobs or anything to get in the way, cleanup is extremely easy.
So what are the con's? Well, turns out that a lot of cookware out there is not induction ready. I thought most of our previous cookware would work but it turns out that only 1 pan that we typically use would work. But that's not the cooktop's fault; just the technology I chose to buy. As for the stove itself, there is a small gap between the countertop and the stove on the left and right sides that stuff can get under. It hasn't been an issue yet as it isn't too hard to get stuff out, but it would be good to find something like a silicon caulking to prevent food stuffs from getting underneath.
Overall, very happy with the performance of induction and happy with this design that has flexible zones that accept any size of pan. If Bosch expected reliability holds true, we'll be happy with this stove for many years.

Benchmark all-induction cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sleek cooktop offering the abiity to heat large pans by combining separate heating areas. Conceived for intuitive use. Designed for practicality and ease of cleaning. Our only wish is that the small silver number printed on the glass to indicate the power level be larger/easier to read. They could easily be made to light up when power is turned on, which would make them most convenient.

Bosch Induction Cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are not new to induction cooking, we have had another major brand cooktop however the Bosch outperforms the other brand by far. When the cooktop gets a little steamy it does not shut off the control. I will even add that it brings water to boil much faster than any gas cooktop or the experience I had with another brand induction cooktop.

Bosch Induction Cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our first induction cooktop. Although cooking with induction has many benefits, it takes some time to get used to it, and it requires metal cookware that is compatible with induction. This is common to all induciton cooking. This cooktop performs wonderfully. However, the touch controls could be more intuitive, and the manual could be made clearer with more pictures and links to video tutorials.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased a 1956 home with all of the original appliances and are upgrading the kitchen with this induction cooktop. The counter is original stainless, but the ability to prepare food is light years ahead thanks to this technology.

Cooktop scratches very easily
on May 7, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As far as the features and performance of this unit, they are great. However, the reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because the smooth surface is very soft and easy to scratch. I now have to put a paper towel down under the pots and pans every time I use the cooktop. Within a few days of getting this installed, I had lots of scratches. I was using smooth stainless pots and pans (not cast iron). How disappointing to see my new shiny appliance all full of scratches in just the first few days. I'm very disappointed.
