(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We did a major renovation a few months ago, and that was when we upgraded all of our appliances to Bosch appliances. We went with an induction cooktop, and I must say that we were not disappointed. It is amazing how quickly induction cooktops generate heat in the cookware. The only reason I did not give this a 5-star is in-fact related to the design of the Home Connect app for this cooktop. We decided to go with a cooktop with the WiFi option so that we could monitor the cooktop operation and maybe turn it off remotely, in case we left it on when leaving the house. Realising the turning the unit off remotely is not possible was a big disappointment. I contacted Bosch and suggested that they add the option of a user being able to turn off the cooktop remotely (for safety reasons). I hope that happens.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot say enough about this cooktop. I replaced a gas cooktop with this induction top. I have always preferred gas to electric...until now. This induction is not your momma's electric cooktop. It is so sleek and beautiful, which makes it really easy to clean - just wipe it off. The heat is instant, no waiting and the temp control is the best of any cooktop you will ever find. Water boils in less than 2 minutes. Simmering or frying will hold the exact temp you set, no more going up until it bubbles, then going back down and back up throughout the process. Also, since the heat is generated in the pan, not under the cooktop, all the heat is inside the pan. Much less heat goes into the room and less up onto the cook while standing over the pot. Your kitchen and you stay cool. Since the heat is created in the pot, it doesnt matter what size pot you use, it is always the right size for the burner. Controls are easy to use and easy to see. I also love the style of this top. The big X over the cook areas looks so modern instead of the circles so often seen on electric tops. It has timer that you can use to shut it off automatically, say when boiling eggs or what ever. The power is the best available as well. I shopped so many tops before buying this one. The Boost feature on center burner goes up to 5500w, this is well above any other cooktop at this price point. I did find one other that matched that, but it cost almost 3 times as much as this one. Bosch is a great brand name, and I have never had problems with any of my Bosch appliances. You will not regret this purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my cooktop. Fast heating and even cooking. Looks very stylish against my white countertop. Well worth the money and extra pans and pots
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced a glass top electric with this. Installation was easy. It was a little bigger than my old one so we had to cut a bigger hole in the granite. This is a great cooktop. I love the responsiveness to changing temperature. The noise is negligible, mostly on turbo. People complain about the hard to read temperature settings but you just have to get used to how it works. Boiled a large pot water in 5 minutes. I love the count-up timer. It doesn't cool "instantly" when a pot is removed, the glass gets hot and has to cool, but it cools pretty quickly. A capital H indicates hottest, lower case h for when it's warm. When there is a spill it will turn off for a second, but as soon as you wipe it up the temp comes right back up. I love that there are 17 temperature options for minor changes. Had no trouble cleaning up spills and splatters. It is a little difficult to get a perfect streak free shine, but with a little time and effort it is achievable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't familiar or experienced with an induction cooktop. My sales person highly recommended it over a gas stove because of easy clean up - very true - I literally wipe it off. No scrubbing required. And, the fast boil feature - very true - a pasta pot will boil water in a couple of minutes. Amazing! The first time I cooked on it there was an annoying hum / buzz. It drove me crazy. I tried to return it but was told that wasn't possible and to give it more time. She was right within a week I loved it. I learned that the right type of cookware is very important. Sometimes the bottom of the pan is burnt or damaged and this can cause a hum. Also, the size of the cookware and weight of the food being cooked can reduce the hum. I'm not sure about the WiFi feature - I haven't had an opportunity to use it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we recently bought our house, we needed a minor redo of the kitchen. The 90's electric cooktop was in the island. We had moved from a home with a gas range that we loved. Since running a gas line did not fit into our budget, I checked out the videos and reviews of induction cooking. After convincing my husband to make the investment, we both love it. My husband says he likes it better than our 60"gas range we had at our other house. The induction cooktop responds just like gas. Our pots and pans stay clean and it is a breeze to keep clean.
