Fabulous Cooktop!!!

I love this cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second Bosch induction cooktop I've had (in two different houses) and will never use gas to cook again. It is fast in both heating up and cooling down and maintains an even cooking temperature. It also has two timers; one is a kitchen timer and the other shuts is the element and the end of the time set. It's easy to clean and looks beautiful in my kitchen.

The amount of time it takes to boil water on power boost is phenomenal. It literally takes about two minutes. The cooktop itself is very easy to clean and stays looking nice as long as you clean up right after cooking.

800 Series Induction Cooktop 36'' Black

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With over 40 years of using gas and most recently 5 years of electric/ceramic stovetops, we were skeptical of the induction cooktop when we first read about it. Then there was the pot and pan compatible material question, noise reports and unheard of water boiling times. Well after 3 months since installing our 800 Series Induction Cooktop we are firm believers we made the correct choice. First off only one pan out of over 20 was not compatible with induction. It was a low cost aluminum pan the Teflon type coating. In my 1st test water was boilin in just over a minute, incredible performance. Gone were the off/on cycling of electric, the monitor and adjustments of gas or the initial hot spots of either one. The constant feed induction is simply amazing. Once you understand the temp output by setting, 1-9 with .5 increments, it's a simple set and done. Bacon in my 10" cast iron pan looks as if I cooked it a preheated oven, evenly cooked across the entire pan. That's just one example of the cooking side of it. Afterwards stovetop cooldown is within a couple minutes. There's no spillover burning on the stovetop. Clean-up is a simple wipe and done and the cooktop looks like new again. The operational control, wi-fi enable monitoring, multi stage cook/warm settings or shutdown is over the top. We purchased Bosch based on their noted reliably, performance and customer support. To date we are thoroughly impressed with all aspects of our Bosch unit.

Very disappointed

I have had this cooktop installed for 5 months. For the past 7 weeks it has not worked. It reads "e" and none of the burners work. I have had a ridiculously hard time finding someone that will work on the appliance because it's still under warranty and no one will work on it because I bought it online and not thru them. I gave it one star because when it works it is awesome. Boils water extremely fast and the temperature control is excellent. It's very similar to using a gas stove top.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fast, responsive, beautiful

I never thought I would love anything as much as my gas cooktop but this induction cooktop has converted me. I have cooked puddings, vegetables, sautéed meats and heated soups; nothing scorched. I love it!

Induction Cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently replaced my 36" Kitchenaid standard electric cooktop with the Bosch 36" model. The new cooktop fit perfectly without any modifications needed. The Bosch cooktop is a great improvement as far as control of the temperatures. Speed of warmup and cooldown is excellent. The timer features and the Auto Chef features are also useful.
