Doesn't Last Long

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's the only ice maker that is 18" wide which is what we need to fill the open space in our kitchen. We bought our first one in 2004, that died and got another one in 2016 and that died last year. I'm assuming this one will break down as soon, or sooner. These work fine until they don't...and that breakdown point comes sooner and sooner. I'd never buy one of these again if I had a choice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not happy!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ice maker worked for 2 months from time of installation, then quit (no power, nothing, just died) and we’ve had a problem with the repair people that we were set up with by Kitchenaid.

Terrible Machine

ZERO Stars. We have had this machine for just over two years. In year one there was an issue with the compressor and we were lucky enough to get it fixed just prior to the warranty expiring. After they "fixed" the issue it only took another year for the same thing to happen. Lucky us, we get to pay for the service technician to come out and diagnosis that there is obviously something mechanically wrong with the ice maker. Kitchenaid Whirpool has the worst CSR as they only read from a script and are unable to actually help or provide any actual assistance. The only option they had for us was to spend more money on an extended service plan which definitely makes sense for them. This is the last appliance we ever purchase from them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fantastic ice maker delivered within a week.

Makes loads of great ice
