Incredible sound!

This speaker has a very deep sound and bass. Also the middle and high noises, are good too. I use 2 speakers together. First speaker JBL party 300, second speaker JBL party 200. ln stereo mode these speakers work perfectly. Whenever we watch a movie, play a game, listen to music or anything it’s all great, I’m happy that I use JBL, everybody should should get one!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love my Partybox 200 HOWEVER

1st thing to note is that JBL seriously should have created an app for this speaker. Would have made life so much better. 2nd cant really use it for a soundbar with a TV as you have to get up to change the volume (an app would have been able to fix this...) Also a Samsung TV remote interferes with it, the volume up button on the TV remote will cycle through the colour modes yet the Volume down button actually turns down the speaker. Then another thing to note I have tried this speaker running off a car 12V cigarette lighter (as well as the dedicated 12V port in my boot normally used to run a fridge) not to mention in 4 other cars. All have the same issue as soon as you turn it too loud (around 3 quarters volume) it distorts and cuts out constantly. I actually even took the speaker back to where I bought it and got a brand new replacement speaker and had the same issue. So that feature shouldn't even be included, totally useless. But running as a normal bluetooth speaker its awesome. Have used it out and about at get together and at house parties and it works great. Just expected way more from JBL being a premium brand and all...

Big sound in an enormous package

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PartyBox 200 produces show-stopping, room blasting sound with excellent quality and range, as well as a swell built-in light show feature. Features also include quarter-inch inputs for microphone and guitar, which can be used at the same time the device is transmitting bluetooth audio. Additional inputs include a 1/8th inch audio jack, and a usb slot. Finally, for those willing to purchase a second PartyBox, up to two of these can be wirelessly daisy-chained for a full stereo experience.
The volume on this can get truly loud without becoming distorted. Rich lows and ambient highs combined with an honest midrange provide listeners with a full and realistic sound.
I plugged my fender guitar in and played for awhile, and in that application also the sound was excellent, even if my playing was only so-so. This is more of a representative practice amp, however; no overdrive or feedback effects will come just from plugging directly in.
With the additional inputs, however, I wondered why the engineers didn't take it one step further with XLR inputs for better microphone fidelity, as well as for enabling the device to daisy-chain to non-PartyBox monitors.
The light show is fun, if basic. An app or other means of controlling and/or programming lighting would be a good improvement. Finally, at 40 lbs, this isn't a casual party speaker.
Overall, a good device that could benefit from a few more perks.

Great Speaker

Previously owned a JBL Charge 3 for two years. Decided to upgrade to this partybox and it was totally worth it. Bass is amazing it shakes the house and lights up the whole room with sound.

Perfect Gift

Bought this for my fiancé as a birthday gift. He loves it, we all love it. Especially during these days of COVID me and my family have been able to jam out in the comfort of our home. Definitely worth every penny.

I bought this product because it said that it was a wireless speaker but it has to be plugged in at all times

Our JBL PartyBox 200 has no built-in battery, it needs to plug into a power source for it to work. Our JBL PartyBox 100 and 300 are the ones that have built-in batteries.
