I bought this pan because it says you can use any utensils. My family has ruined my other pans by using metal utensils which has scratched them to where I cannot use. I was so happy to find a pan that wouldn't scratch......NOT, IT SCRATCHES

Nice non-stick pan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far this pan has worked out well. I care for like I would most other non-stick pans, despite Blue Diamond's advertising. They actually do recommend hand-washing it and not exceeding medium heat on the stovetop.
I'm generally hesitant of searing with non-stick pans (regular pans will release the food when its time to flip it), but I've had really good results with this one. Its a pretty good value for a 5 qt saute pan. I'd recommend it, but also recommend that it be treated with care.

Less than 60 days and food started sticking!

I bought this pan locally and not even 60 days after purchase food started to stick and it progressively got worse. Not matter how much oil or butter I used. Ended up putting this in the closet pulling it out very rarely for purposes where the food has minimal contact. Even though its surface still looks new and I still end up having to fight to clean it if my spouse or teenage son uses it. I ended purchasing the exact same style pan from T-Fal and having zero issues with it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Glass lid shattered—danger!

Stress test for cookware

It in itself is a terrific pan. I would advise not to put an electric mixer in one. They recommend cooking on low to med high but you can cook on high

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a terrific pan that I expect to use for a very long time. The lid is heavy, but that's not a complaint...it simply speaks to the overall quality of this pan. The handle is comfortable to grip, the finish is done quite well, and I currently don't have any complaints or suggestions for improvement. This is my first Blue Diamond product, but if this pan continues to impress and perform as it has thus-far, it certainly won't be my last.
I would recommend this to a friend!
