Works now that I have fixed the wiring.

I bought the solar panel and wireless camera at the same time, to compliment my fixed wire camera. We have been without mains power for a week so far since the storm came through.
The camera battery went flat because the solar panel wasn’t charging the camera.
The panel was supplying 5V, even on an overcast day, but checking at the USB connector, it was reverse polarity.
I had to remove the solar panel rear cover and change the output connector wiring in the small white plug.
The panel charges the camera properly.
Bad quality control at manufacturing.

Bought a month ago to charge cameras. Cameras are rubbish and hardly work. Swann support is pathetic. How do I get my money back?

PIR sensors work optimally when the camera is mounted around looking down somewhat and the subject of detection passes across their front. The more the object must "cross" the front of the camera the better the detection reliability. When placing your camera try to avoid situations where the subject would move straight toward the camera if possible. You may need to experiment with the sensitivity settings in the app and camera placement to get the ideal mix of detection
