awful sound quality

I love Melissa & Doug products - unfortunately not this one. The piano itself looks cute but the noise it makes is awful and it's not very close to being in tune. Since it was wrapped in plastic we didn't know this until my daughter opened it. I'm hoping we were just given a defective one because this isn't the kind of quality we've experienced before from Melissa & Doug.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We've had this product for a few weeks and we absolutely love it. Our daughter loved 'playing' on our real piano so this was super special for her. Our daughter is 9 months (corrected due to he prematurely). We had no issues, delivery was great, song book was perfect. There are a lot of reviews regarding stuck keys, there was one incident where 2 keys got stuck- but you just click again and back to normal. Definitely recommend.

My first experience with Melissa and Doug

I bought this piano for my daughter's second birthday, five years later it is still in perfect condition. Not only does she still and love this piano but her new nine month old brother also loves it as well. I've been buying Melissa and Doug ever since and I love that this piano is still being sold.

Out of tune (replacement also on the same note)

Adorable, unfortunately it is out of tune on one note on two different units (replacement had a second note slightly off). It is VERY off key, not just slightly, on the problem note. Seems it could be a manufacturing issue since it is on two units. I would love to know if it can be tuned as my son loves it.

My one year old absolutely loves this and so do we. When I bought it at the store I didn't realize it was missing the color coded key bar and by the looks of it I'm also missing the the book if it is supposed to come with one? I (had already talked to customer service about the missing key chart and they were so great and so friendly and they are getting that part out to me already)Also is this tunable? I know this is just a toy but my goodness it needs tuned. Despite my unfortunate luck I would 100% recommended this! It is my sons favorite toy hands down!

Our 13 month old granddaughter LOVES it! It's just the right size and sturdiness now and for a few years to come. The bright colors and crisp sounds had her plinking the keys with both hands. (Her Gramsy and Popper thinks she's destined for greatness ;-)

Looks good, sounds terrible and it's very out of tune. I called customer service and they said "its a toy so it's not supposed to sound like a piano" huh?
