Surprisingly useful

Overall, I love having this readily available without the hassle of my phone or tablet screen turning off. It's great for recipes, watching TV while cooking, and even just playing some music while I'm cleaning. My only dislike is the way you access the light/fan controls. It requires you to swipe up from the bottom of the screen in order to turn on the fan or light. I would much prefer a standard button on the side or bottom of the unit.

Great, but One MAJOR FLAW

We love the style and look of this system. Love the recipe app features and having android playstore allowed installing streaming apps so my daughter can watch Sesame Street while we cook. Oh and the 600cfm vent is more powerful than the equivalent GE Range hood.
All that said, not being able to control the fab or lights with voice control or from the app is a real downer that I didn't expect. This feature is offered on GE smart hoods so I assumed surely the smart hub range hood would have it? Trying to cook or prep with a child, it would be very useful to ask Google "Set Fan To High" & "Turn on Light". These are basic smart appliance functions. I read an update is coming to fix this, sooner the better.

This product was in a one-year old home we bought. I feel it is a useless appliance. I find no value in having apps, cameras, microphones, etc above my stove. Not a necessary place for technology
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fun Tech Gadget!

I am in love with my HUB! I’m doing a kitchen update and replaced my 30 year old GE appliances with new GE appliances. I stream all of my favorite tv channels & downloaded all of my favorite apps as with any android device. I use a calendar app to keep the family organized. I am in the process of adding all of my favorite recipes so I have then at my fingertips. The large 30 inch screen is beautiful and I was able to eliminate my small kitchen tv which sat on my counter.
Everyone who walks into my kitchen is so impressed! It definitely is a kitchen showpiece. The setup was very easy and the uses are endless. I love, love, love it!

This is the coolest product. You can download any app and use like you would on your phone. I used to use my phone to look up recipes, or my Amazon Echo ... but now this huge 27 inch screen does everything for me. From recipes, to notes, Facebook, Messenger, zoom, etc. All loaded. Fantastic!!!
