I am loving my tablet. it run smooth to all the apps i downloaded and so far i dont complain about it unlike from my previous devices it was slow. it is a good device and it is a gift from my hubby.
This is a pretty nice unit, but it does not run "Adobe Flash Player" as stated in some of the advertising on this site. Also some web pages have pop ups asking about accepting a "certificate", but it does'nt let you accept it permanently, very annoying.
Overall the Galaxy Tab 2 is pretty good, but it doesn't feel like much of an upgrade from the first one I had. In fact if it wasn't for the new OS I'd probably want my old one over this. Like I said the new OS is nice, but the performance lags a bit. I don't feel like I have too many apps or widgets open for the tablet to lag when I swipe to the next home screen.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unhappy with the Tab 2 10.1

I am having issues since the day I bought it. Not worth the money spent.
1. I had issues setting up WiFi on my home network. My phones, laptops and all other devices could find the wireless network and could connect happily. The Samsung tab 2 always complained WiFi not in range even if I sit next to the router. I finally could fix this after configuring my WiFi router to issue a static IP to the Samsung Tab.
2, After I fixed the WiFi issue started the issue with charging my Tab. Even after connecting my Tab on power as well as on USB, the tab could sense the power with a beep but was not getting charged. I used to see a RED X mark on the battery. I had to switch off the tab and then it used to charge sometimes.
3. Finally now the tab no longer can power-on. When I connect the power, I see a quick flash as if the Tab is powering on and shows the battery symbol and goes off. This keeps repeating even if I put it on power for 24 hours. No longer able to switch on the tab, it's dead.
Cons: Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The advertising says " With Adobe Flash player you have access to more videos, websites and games", only Adobe Flash does not work on this. Either need to change advertising or make sure it works.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: does not have adobe flash
I would recommend this to a friend!

Gets the job done....sorta

This is the first tablet I've purchased. Coming from a strictly Windows environment, it took some getting used to. There's many nice features, but there's some frustrating ones as well that deal with the screens and arranging icons. Some apps are pre-loaded and can't be deleted even though I'll never use them.....not good! The most frustrating part is the lack of a docking station for the TAB 2. REALLY???!!! Without the docking station, the TAB 2 is just a glorified toy and not much work can be done quickly. The micro SD card is a plus. Sound is good. Speed is fine for what it is.
